Johnson Design is a graphic design partnership based in Norfolk.

Andrew Johnson has 30 years experience in editorial design. He is a former art director of Blueprint, the architecture and design magazine, and has designed titles including Art Review, Safety and Health Practitioner, Tate Guide and V&A Magazine. He was the art director of V&A Magazine from 2004 until 2018 (sub-contracted by Cultureshock Media). He has also worked on contract titles for Saab Cars in Sweden (as senior designer at Archant Dialogue) and, as a director of East Publishing, for clients including RasGas Company (Qatar), Maersk Oil Qatar, the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Norwich HEART, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and Norwich Castle Museum. East Publishing also launched their own bi-monthly city magazine, Norwich Magazine, in 2012 which was highly commended in the 2012 BSME Awards for raising design and editorial standards in regional publishing. He is a graduate of Brighton Polytechnic (BA) and the Royal College of Art (MA). Andrew is currently full-time Senior Lecturer on the Design for Publishing degree course at Norwich University of the Arts.

Josie Johnson has been an employed and freelance graphic designer since graduating from Brighton University in 1995. Whilst working in London her clients included EMI, Warehouse, Ben Di Lisi and Methuen Book Publishers. In Norfolk she has worked with food consultants, The Food Practice, on product concepts for clients that include Selfridges, Dilly & Wolf, Booker and local producer Algie’s Norfolk Popcorn. Other clients include MFC (My Future Choice), Assist Trust, ChunXue Cashmere and Energy Consultancy Ltd. During lockdown Josie started painting and now divides her time between this and the partnership.
